Animal Medicines
Mole Valley Farmers stock a comprehensive range of animal medicines. We have vaccines, flukicides and coccidial control, as well as wormers for cattle, sheep, horses, dogs and cats. In addition to these essential products, we supply needles, syringes and dosers, fly and parasite control products, disinfectants, dietary supplements, clippers, shearers and much much more. If you purchase animal medicines from Mole Valley Farmers, you will find that there are certain rules we must follow.
Legislation dictates that only an SQP (suitably qualified person) can prescribe / supply animal medicines. For a member of staff to become a full SQP they have to pass four different exams that are the equivalent standard to A levels.
To prescribe medicines our SQP will have to ask certain questions at point of sale to enable us to supply you with your prescription. The code of practice that all SQP have to work within is set down by the Secretary of State and is a legal obligation.
All our stores, including our online service, have experienced SQP to advise you on the correct medicine to use.
Please explore these pages for more information about the rules we must adhere to and some of the most frequently asked questions we receive.
