Designed for both cutting and grazing over a wide range of soil types.
Gives a very long growing season, by using varieties with different growth habits for maximum production, upto 5 years.
Produces a sward structure which will allow the clover content to build up to the optimum of 30% of the dry matter.
A first cut, taken when the first ears emerge in mid May, will produce the optimum yield of quality grass.
Timing of second cut should be judged by the volume of the crop, as the white clover content will help to maintain the quality of the sward.
The use of disease resistant varieties ensures a palatable sward right through the growing season.
Chicory / herbs can be added into this ley at 0.25 - 0.5 kg, if required.
