Our Analytical Services
Mole Valley Forage Services has formed a partnership with Lancrop Laboratories to provide a world class range of analytical services that are the starting point to our work to create your own NutribalancerTM system.
We believe that Lancrop Laboratories are the number 1 provider analytical services in the UK. Through our partnership, we offer you access to a laboratory that is:
- Independent and impartial
- Fully accredited to ISO 9001 standard and to the UKAS 17025 scheme
- Providing services at very competitive prices
- The fastest turn-around of samples of 3 days from receipt of sample to release of results
- Offering guidelines and interpretation to the results
In addition, Mole Valley Forage Services in association with Lancrop Laboratories offer bespoke test suites that target the specific needs of Grassland and Forage crops.
Our Forage Specialists will arrange for your samples to be taken and sent for analysis. This is a free service for which you will only pay for the cost of carrying out the lab work. Following the receipt of the sample results, our Forage Specialists will meet with you to discuss the results and to design the best Nutribalancer system for your farm.

Grassland Extra
For greater understanding of your Grassland soils ability to meet livestock nutritional needs we have developed the Grassland Premium test suite.
In addition to basic pH, Phosphate and Potassium results, the Grassland Extra test suite provides levels for the majority of trace elements that are important in Grassland management - Magnesium, Calcium, Sulphur, Sodium, Manganese, Copper, Iron, Zinc, Molybdenum, Boron and Cation Exchange Capacity.
In addition, Iodine, Cobalt test results are provided that can help to identify potential immune system problems and also Organic Matter results are provided.
Grassland Premium
For growers wanting to identify if there is a Selenium deficiency in the soil, the Grassland Premium test suite offers all of the benefits of the Grassland Extra test but with a result for Selenium.
Forage Maize Special
The Forage Maize test suite identifies all of the key nutrients that are needed to effectively grow maize crops including pH, Phosphate, Potassium, Magnesium, Calcium, Sulphur, Manganese and Zinc.
Grassland Organic
Designed specifically for the Organic grower, the Grassland Organic test suite features all of the benefits of the Grassland Extra test but adds Clay Content for establishing the ability of the soils to provide a healthy environment for crop growth.
Farm Yard Manure & Slurry
The nutrient contents of farm yard manures and slurries can vary dramatically depending on diet, bedding type and even the time of year. It is important to understand the exact content of the organic manures that will be applied to soils apart from anything it is a requirement of cross-compliance. The Farm Yard Manure & Slurry test will provide results for Nitrogen, Phosphate, Potash, Magnesium as well as Dry Matter.
