Half million investment at A-Plant offers newest equipment for hire in North Devon
Aimed at every type of hire customer in the North Devon area, from local councils, builders, contractors, industrial companies and farmers to the home improvement and DIY market, A-Plant has recently invested over half a million pounds in the fleet of equipment available for hire from the company’s depot at Umberleigh near Barnstaple. With the new investment, A-Plant, one of the country’s leading plant and tool hire businesses, is now offering the most up-to-date fleet of equipment for hire anywhere in North Devon and West Somerset.
Dave Roberts, who has been Manager at the A-Plant Barnstaple depot for the last Half million investment at a-plant offers newest equipment for hire in North Devon eight years, said: “The new equipment we have added means our fleet is the youngest in the area. Dave has a staff of eight fulltime employees working in every area of the Barnstaple operation, including a Rental Manager who controls the deliveries and deals with the majority of customer enquiries so there is always a speedy response on the ‘phone or for customers calling at the depot. The hire fleet is kept in peak condition by a team of fitters under a Foreman Fitter. The depot runs three service vans enabling fitters to visit customers for on-site repairs and routine maintenance. The team at Barnstaple also includes three drivers who use transit tail lifts and Beavertail lorries to deliver and return equipment from the customer’s site.
