Short Term, Cutting (MVF No 1)

  • Very high yields of high protein silage over 3 years

  • 3 cuts and late grazing

  • High protein levels complement maize silage

  • Cut around 10th -24th May to maximise protein content and cut approximately 7 - 8 weeks later for second cut

  • Hi-Pro Booster includes the excellent Aber hybrids giving better yield, quality and disease resistance

  • Red clovers will fix nitrogen and improve soil nutrient levels and soil structure.

  • Use a 5 year break between red clover crops to prevent pest and disease build up.

Silage Buster

  • Intensive production up to a three year period

  • For 75D value, cut around 8th - 10th May, with the second cut 6 weeks later

  • Up to four cuts of high quality silage per year or season-long grazing

  • Maximum yield, palatability and digestibility

  • This ley responds positively to high levels of fertiliser by producing up to 15% more dry matter per acre than long term leys

  • The mixture includes only top yielding Italian and hybrid ryegrasses
