Sward Assessment and Advice
Improving grassland quality on farm is probably the biggest single factor in improving profitability on livestock farms.  Mole Valley Farmers can offer a free sward assessment service to help find the best way of improving your grassland.

Forage Budgeting
Area required calculation.  Ensuring you have enough quality forage for the winter months is key to successful livestock performance.  The need to plan sufficient acres for forage whether it is grass silage, maize, wholecrop, fodderbeet is therefore critical.

Agrochemical Recommendations
Clearly written Agrochemical recommendations are provided by our B.A.S.I.S qualified Agronomists to ensure correct application of Agrochemicals.

Crop Rotation Advice
Our Agronomists will discuss crop rotations over a 5 year period to ensure yields are optimised and the effects of weeds, pests and diseases are minimised.

Seed Mixture Formulation
Mole Valley Premier Leys are one of the best selling grass seed ranges in the Country and are formulated with the ‘best’ varieties for their category.  As well as providing Premier Leys we can formulate or modify grass mixtures to suit individual farm requirements.

Additive and Crop Preservation Advice
Mole Valley offer a complete range of grass and maize additives, backed by scientific animal performance trials.  The two ranges we offer are the ‘Mole Range’ and the ‘Ecosyl Range’.  Mole Valley also offer advice on Cereal Crop preservation for wholecrop (fermented wholecrop or Alkalage).  Advice on Prograin, Caustic Soda or ‘Crop Preserver’ for crimping are also available to maximise home produced feeds.

Mole Valley Forage Services

Soil Sampling
The key to knowing what your soil reserves are is fundamental in optimising crop performance.  Mole Valley Forage Services offer an extensive range on different types of soil analysis which can be obtained from one of their F.A.C.T.S qualified specialists.

Fertiliser Advice / Recommendations
Mole Valley Forage Specialists will be able to interpret your soil analysis results and recommend a fertiliser system (‘The Nutribalancer System’) using both conventional fertilisers and enhanced fertilisers to make the most of soil reserves and slurry applications to economically optimise crop production.

Advice on N.V.Z Compliance
As the area of the UK increases in N.V.Z’s (Nitrate Vulnerable Zones) interpretation of the latest regulations is key to on farm compliance.  With the correct advice more can be gained from the nutrient contents of FYM and slurries to minimise overall fertiliser costs on farm.

Making the most of F.Y.M and Slurry
This valuable on farm resource has often been over looked.  With correct timing the nutrient value of organic manures can be unlocked by some of the enhanced fertilisers in the Mole Valley Forage Services Range which are unique to the company.
