Nightwalk Raising Money For North Devon Hospice!

Held on the 17th & 31st May 2014

The Nightwalk is a ladies only night time sponsored walk that is in aid of North Devon Hospice.

Taking part in Nightwalk really does make a difference. The North Devon Hospice is now in its 30th year and the organization fully relies on the generosity of it’s supporters to enable the hospice to provide care services free of charge to patients of all ages and their families and loved ones.

The funds raised recently have helped North Devon Hospice establish a new service called Hospice to Home. Since this service has been running it has enabled 386 local people to be cared for at home, by enabling them to avoid unnecessary distressing hospital admissions. Overall, the hospice cared for over 2,700 local people last year who were facing the impact of cancer and other life-limiting illnesses. This could have been a member or your family, a friend, a neighbour or a colleague and that’s why Mole Valley Farmers are proud to be the main sponsor of the event as we see the changes made to people’s lives.   Nightwalk, now in it’s eight year is the largest single fundraising event in the North Devon & Cornwall border and offers routes along the Tarka Trail and Saunton Sands on Saturday 17th May, before moving on to beautiful Tamar Lakes on Saturday 31st May. And you will be able to choose your preferred length of walk from 3 miles to 18 miles.

As part of there 30 years celebration they also run other fundraising activities and events click here to find out more.

We hope you will join us in support of North Devon Hospice and really get behind the event as it’s your support that will help provide specialist care to local people that are affected by life changing illnesses.
