Charity walk along Devon's Two Moors Way

The Farming Community Network Charity Walk along the Two Moors Way

Charity walk along Devon's Two Moors Way

Fancy walking along 90 miles of beautiful yet rugged terrain, along Devon's Two Moors Way?

That's what Devon County Chairman Colin Smallacombe, County Coordinator Joanne Jones & a team of Farming Community Network (FCN) supporters are doing.

They are walking the Two Moors Way from Ivybridge to Lynton, starting on Saturday 13th July.

The walk will be done in stages over the summer to raise funds for FCN, a farming charity who support farmers & their families through difficult times.

FCN changed its name this year from Farm Crisis Network to encourage more farmers to approach the charity for help.

FCN not only supports the farming community through National crises such as Foot & Mouth or TB, but exists to help individuals with whatever difficulty they may be facing: farming, business, health or family related.

FCN is a charity that relies on donations, so a walk across the County where we help support the farming community seems an ideal way to raise money to help fund this work.

Money raised will also help fund the National Helpline which operates 365 days a year, from 7am – 11pm (0845 367 9990).

In Devon the FCN help around 70 new families a year & continue to support over 200 cases.

If you would like to support this event, you can do so via: www.justgiving.com/Joanne-Jones13

or you can text FCND90 followed by the amount (e.g. £10) to 70070

Alternatively to arrange a payment by cheque, or if you wish to join the walk or for more information about the work of FCN, contact Joanne Jones on 07897 540278 or [email protected]
