Pink Bale Charity Auction

Holsworthy’s pink bale auction

Mole Valley Farmers Holsworthy

Mole Valley Farmers customer, Charlie Prideaux has decided to give bales to auction for charity in December.

Charlie says “Three years ago nearly to the day I lost my kidney. I crawled in to the hospital on my hands and knees I was in so much pain. The odds of me surviving, let alone walking were minimal”. However, after the op, Charlie slowly began to improve, his full recovery taking two years. “Now, he says, I just want to give something back”. When he was offered the pink bale wrap which is sold to support Cancer Research UK, he jumped at the chance to support the charity, and offered to donate some wrapped bales to sell at auction.

“We are pleased to be working with local auctioneer James Morrish from Kivells, who will be leading the auction. Donations and offers of support are coming and fast. We want this to be a real community event for all the family to enjoy” says Ed McCullar, store manager.

Mole Valley Farmers will be hosting a “Pink Bale Auction” on Sunday 4th December at our Holsworthy Store.  The event will take place between 3:30pm - 7:00pm, with live music, a licenced bar and a hog roast.  Together with pink bales there will be products from Hotline, Stihl, Draper and Thatchers up for auction, with all money raised going to Cancer Research UK.  Come and join us for some fun and to help raise money for a wonderful cause – we can all do our bit to “Stand up to Cancer”.

From the pink wrap sales alone Mole Valley Farmers aim to raise £10,000, with the auction it is hoped to really boost this contribution.
