Make Milk Matter Conference

Make Milk Matter

Can your business afford to miss this event on Wednesday 20th April?

Innovation in dairying is the key focus of the forthcoming Molecare Conference on Wednesday 20th April, 9.30 am for a 10am start - 4pm at Westpoint Conference Centre, Clyst St Mary, Exeter.

To find out more about these new innovations and to book a place at the conference please email: [email protected] or call: 01392 872937

Given the volatility in the dairy sector, dairy farmers are looking for new, innovative tools to enhance their business and optimise opportunities in their sector. Attendees of the “free” conference will have to opportunity to hear from inspiring industry speakers including Chris Walkland, an award winning journalist specialising in food production from farm to retailer and Bert van Niejenhuis, a master trainer for CowSignals training company and expert in understanding bovine behaviour.

The conference will also hear from key sponsor Elanco UK, a number of case study farmers, Martin Mayer from Bayer Genetik and Stef Beunk, a German Fleckveih Farmer.  This will be followed by a panel debate, with questions from the floor.

Molecare Veterinary Services has recently become a joint launch partner for an innovative new product that will help to improve efficiencies on farm.  The Conference will see the launch of the new smaXtec bolus – a revolutionary bolus that will detect changes in activity and temperature of the cow, together with measurement of pH in the rumen.  The bolus will be able to detect ketosis, adidosis, oestrus and general ill health in cows.

The bolus device works by sending signals every 15 minutes to a local base station, positioned in the parlour or cattle shed, which then send a series of alerts to your mobile phone or computer.  These alerts provide a “real time” guide to what is happening on your farm and will positively impact on milk production and quality.
