The Mole Valley Farmers’ #UniInMyWellies Project returns for 2014-2015
 

This October sees the re-launch of the #UniInMyWellies project set at Harper Adams University, Shropshire and Royal Agricultural University Cirencester.  

Two teams, plenty of wellies and a bit of social media activity…

 

In September 2013 the Mole Valley Farmers’ #UniInMyWellies project was launched whereby two teams from the leading agricultural universities Harper Adams University, Shropshire and Royal Agricultural University Cirencester, Gloucester were selected to compile a photo diary and trial a pair of wellies during their first term at university.  Each student shared their own experiences with us through social media using the hashtag #UniInMyWellies and each student submitted a written review of their wellies after their first term.  The project was so well received that it is set to have a re-launch for 2014-2015. 
 

The Overall Prize for our "Outstanding Student":

  • £200 Mole Valley Farmers' vouchers to use online.
  • An upgrade from the trial wellington boots to the Aigle Parcours® 2 ISO range (worth approx £140 a pair).
  • The opportunity to have 3 days of commercial experience with Mole Valley Farmers, tailored to specific course / desired career.  (We will cover travel and accommodation expenses).
  • The opportunity to network with the Mole Valley Farmers management teams whilst at Head Office.
  • Plus, there will be £50 online vouchers for each student in the winning team.

 

#TeamHarper and #TeamCiren will set to work trialling and testing their wellies in every situation.  From freshers’ balls, countryside pursuits and foreign travel to the milking parlour and mucking out the animals, the wellies from top brands such as Dunlop, Jonsson Gumboots, Le Chameau, Seeland, Bogs, Bekina, Grubs and Dolomite Nora will be put through their paces.  
 

Last year Dunlop were so impressed with our overall winner that they featured her in adverts and have asked her to continue to be a brand ambassador.  Another student has been asked to be brand ambassador for Jonsson Gumboots thanks to her tireless activity and thorough product testing.
